ABOUT US
The Waltham Park Road Community Club exists to provide support and development to our citizens.We believe that "united we stand, divided we fall" and when we come together we can achieve the greater good for every individual in this community. The heart of the WPRCC is to have each member and beneficiary of this club achieve their full potential, while catering to their current needs in practical ways. It is important for us that the community understands that unity is strength and that as a united front, we can tackle and overcome all things.
We also place special emphasis on our children, as we know that childhood sets a large part of the framework from which we live the rest of our lives. Therefore many of of programmes are geared toward the upliftment and advancement of the youth in the community. We have been giving back to the community in very meaningful ways for several years now and it is our honest aim to continue doing this for many years to come.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Maureen Edwards is the passionate and kind founder of the Waltham Park Road Community Club. She is the major driving force behind the impact that this club has seen throughout its 23 years of existence, along with the amazing support of the community members. Maureen describes the work that she does as being one that she is ordained for. Her love for people fuels her work and she is passionate about doing all that she can to help those around her,because this she believes to be her ultimate purpose. She is invested in her community at the grassroots level and is impassioned to alleviate suffering within her community as much as she can. Thus it was quite fitting for the Social Development Commission to award Maureen for Outstanding contribution in Leadership at the Community based level. Ms.Edwards is committed to loving people in practical ways through the initiatives and programmes done through the Waltham Park Road Community Club.
